A meal in Los Angeles took an unexpected turn for one group of diners after a mix-up over a Caesar salad allegedly ended with them being asked to leave. In a video posted by the creator Enkrypt on TikTok, the woman says she was visiting Lowboy’s in Echo Park with friends after work when an extra salad was accidentally included with their order. The group apparently thought little of it at first, assuming the additional item had simply been placed in their bag by mistake. That apparently changed when a server confronted them about the salad. The employee allegedly became angry over the extra item, with the woman recalling that the server “started getting super crazy over the salad” and accused her of messing up. From her perspective, there was little reason for the confrontation. The salad dispute quickly escalated A manager, whom the woman identifies as Maritza, eventually intervened and told the group they had to leave because of how they were speaking to staff. The woman says that was never her intention, explaining, “We’re not here to, like, make someone’s job a living hell.” Recalling the confrontation, she says, “I’ve never felt so f—g violated, dude. I’ve never felt so, like, insulted.” There was also some history behind her frustration. She says she had been visiting the restaurant once a month for the past two or three years and often brought new people with her. She describes herself as a “HUGE fan/ customer” before the incident, but says the experience changed that. By the end of the video, she has a much less favorable view of the restaurant, telling viewers, “Don’t eat here.” @enkrypt_losangeles I had a terrible experience at LowBoy’s restaurant/ bar in Echo Park, Los Angeles. Their staff was cussing at me because of THEIR error. I have never had a negative experience like this one. Prior to this, I was a loyal customer and I would always bring new friends and coworkers here. This behavior is unacceptable. llosangelesfoodllosangelesfoodieeechoparkllosangelesrestaurantsllosangelescaliforniaonest review. Horrible customer service. ♬ Mozart/Requiem “Lacrimosa”(1394506) – Mint Several commenters sided with her account. One wrote, “Wait a min… An employee added an extra salad, and they attacked y’all for it? Boycott that trash,” while another commenter claiming to be a manager said, “Manager here in high end. This is not how you treat guests, especially over a salad. I would fire server on the spot.” Not everyone accepted the story without question. One viewer pushed back with, “nah, there’s more to this story that you’re not telling us.” That uncertainty is familiar in restaurant disputes shared online, where viewers are often left with only one side of an encounter to consider. Lowboy’s side of the incident has not been independently confirmed. For the woman, the encounter was enough to sour her view of a restaurant she says she had previously enjoyed visiting. Her account leaves the focus on how quickly a mistake over an extra salad escalated into a dispute with staff and ultimately ended her group’s meal.
