BITCOIN when to buy and hold? If hold 200ema for 10day's Bitcoin / U.S. dollarBITSTAMP:BTCUSDjazziomanBTCUSD Bitcoin was trading around $72,650 when I recorded this video. My message is simple: don’t chase the move. Bitcoin has risen for three consecutive days and gained approximately 15–16% in only a few days. It could continue higher, but after such a sharp move, a retracement becomes increasingly likely. Bitcoin is currently above the daily 200 EMA, around $69k, and above its other major support levels. That is bullish. However, it has only closed above the 200 EMA for one day. One of my personal rules is to wait until the price has remained above the daily 200 EMA for at least 10 consecutive days before opening a medium- or long-term position. Ten days give the market enough time to consolidate, pull back and prove that the breakout is real. If Bitcoin remains above the 200 EMA for 10 days , it would suggest that bearish momentum is weakening and that the market may continue higher. However, I consider $73,000–$74,000 major resistance. Bitcoin could pull back toward $70,000, $69,000 or even $67,000–$66,000 before continuing higher. Those areas contain fair value gaps created during the rapid move up. Returning to those levels could provide a safer entry than buying at $72,650 after the price has already moved far above support. A brief move below the 200 EMA would not automatically invalidate the bullish setup. Bitcoin could trade below it for one or two days and then recover. I would become more concerned if it remained below the 200 EMA for more than five days and repeatedly retested it from below without successfully reclaiming it. The last major example occurred on May 11, 2026, when Bitcoin was trading around $82,000. It touched the daily 200 EMA but failed to remain above it. Bitcoin was rejected and later declined approximately 20–30%. The current setup is more encouraging because Bitcoin has closed above the 200 EMA, but one close is not enough confirmation for me. stock $Moderna provides another example of why I don’t chase extreme moves. It rallied from approximately $62 to nearly $180—a gain of roughly 190%. When it was trading around $174 in the pre-market, I expected it to pull back because it had moved too far, too quickly. It later fell to approximately $130, a decline of about 25%. Moderna’s RSI was close to 90 across several time frames, showing that it was extremely overbought. Bitcoin’s shorter-term RSI readings may also be elevated after this rapid rally. That does not guarantee an immediate reversal, but it increases the risk of buying near a short-term top. Even during strong bull markets, there are always red days and retracements. Bitcoin can pull back 10%, allow the RSI to cool down, fill market imbalances and then continue higher. That is why I prefer to buy pullbacks toward support instead of chasing large green candles. Fibonacci retracement levels particularly 0.382, 0.50 and 0.618 can help identify possible entry areas. To summarize: closing above the daily 200 EMA is bullish, but I want to see Bitcoin remain above it for at least 10 consecutive days. Until then, I would rather wait for a pullback toward support than chase the price after a 15–16% rally. This is only my personal trading framework, not financial advice.
