Reports suggest that big changes could be coming to a Disney nighttime spectacular.Thanks to D23, Disney has shared a wave of updates on changes coming to its parks around the world over the past week. At Disneyland Resort, Wondrous Journeys wraps up tonight ahead of the Halloween and holiday seasons, before Remember… Dreams Come True returns in 2027. Disney also confirmed that Tomorrowland will undergo a major reimagining, with new attractions, more open space, and other additions planned for the land.Credit: DisneyAt Walt Disney World, the announcements included new details for Villains Land, Piston Peak, Monstropolis, and the upcoming Encanto and Indiana Jones attractions. Disney also confirmed updates for Spaceship Earth and Carousel of Progress, while revealing that Expedition Everest’s long-static Yeti Audio-Animatronic will finally be brought back to life.One update that wasn’t mentioned, however, was a rumored change to one of Disney’s most controversial fireworks displays.Disney Potentially Planning Massive Return for Nighttime ShowAccording to recent reports, Disneyland Paris is reportedly considering the return of drones for its nightly show, Disney Tales of Magic.Credit: DisneyChristophe Murphy, the newly appointed president of Disneyland Paris as of July, is allegedly keen to restore drones months after they were scrapped from the nighttime spectacular.Disneyland Paris has spent much of the year adjusting Disney Tales of Magic, with several of its headline effects disappearing at different points. However, their restoration could potentially coincide with either the end of ongoing work on Sleeping Beauty Castle or the resort’s 35th anniversary.Other ongoing changes at the resort include a major update for Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain, which will restore the attraction’s original Jules Verne-inspired theming, as well as construction on the new Lion King-themed land coming to Disney Adventure World.Is Disney Leaning More on Drones Over Fireworks?Disney has increasingly turned to drones as part of its nighttime entertainment.
