A woman says she found a bodily fluid inside a McDonald’s PlayPlace slide after taking her boyfriend’s seven-year-old niece to play there. She said staff shut the play area down right after she reported it. The woman, who goes by Lizzy and posts under the TikTok handle @lil___red, shared the story in a video that has been viewed more than 2 million times. The clip has received over 186,500 likes and more than 2,500 comments. In her caption, Lizzy wrote she was not sure “what kind of warning to give people,” but wanted to share what happened to “raise some awareness” and help others “keep your kids safe.” Woman says she went down the slide before noticing something on her leg Lizzy claimed she and her boyfriend took his niece to McDonald’s early in the morning after the girl asked to visit the PlayPlace. According to her account, the restaurant was empty aside from drive-thru customers. She described the play area as newer and large, with two levels, adding that she was able to fit inside it since she is 5-foot-1. @lil___red I don’t know what kind of warning to give people but this happened to me and maybe it can just raise some awareness. After sliding down, she felt something on her thigh and initially assumed it was food, such as jelly, left behind on the slide. Lizzy recounted taking the girl off the equipment and going to the bathroom to clean up. She noted the McDonald’s location did not have napkins available in the bathroom, so she had to request them from the counter. Back in the bathroom, she wiped the substance and noticed it was “stringy.” She said, “I immediately had a thought that scared me, so I immediately smelled it and gagged, threw up.” “It is what you’re thinking… it came out of a man’s body,” she said in the video. Her boyfriend brought her a change of clothes from the car, and she described feeling “really, really, really gross and disgusting” afterward. According to Lizzy, she and her boyfriend told employees what happened. She alleged that a younger male employee went to check the slide and told her, “yeah, that looks very questionable.” Staff closed the PlayPlace and began cleaning the slide shortly after, she said. Such incidents of disturbing findings in food-service settings are not isolated, like when an NYC woman tried Danny Coop’s cheesesteaks and found something in her meal.  Lizzy said her boyfriend wanted to call the police. She hesitated at first because she “didn’t want to make a scene,” but agreed once he mentioned there was a security camera positioned near the slide’s exit. He went outside to call and returned about 10 minutes later, telling her police said “they don’t come to calls like this” and that there was nothing they could do, based on her account. She also claimed she and her boyfriend asked to view the store’s security footage but were told employees were not permitted to show it to them due to store protocol. The pair then left the restaurant.  Reflecting on the incident, Lizzy said she wished she had asked to speak with a manager, but felt too “gross and violated” at the time and mainly wanted to shower. She noted that they were not offered a refund for their food and ended up paying for the meal. She closed the video by encouraging parents to check play areas before allowing children to use them. Unexpected substances can be found in various settings, like when a woman discovered a soaking wet biohazard in a pair of Abercrombie Fitch pants.  The video drew a large reaction in the comments section, with many users questioning why police did not respond to the report. “I’m confused why the police wouldn’t get involved? They need to take this seriously,” one commenter wrote. Another commenter wrote, “That means a man was in the child play area, DOING THAT.” Others said the incident should be looked into further. “I think the fluids can be tested and the person can be identified. This is absolutely disgusting,” one person commented. Some users speculated about who might have been responsible. “Plot twist: it was the younger McDonald’s worker who said that it was very questionable,” one commenter wrote. Another simply wrote, “this is actually a huge deal girl.”
