Aston Villa are in negotiations with Parma over a move for Japan goalkeeper Zion Suzuki after his proposed transfer to Paris Saint-Germain fell through.Villa have stepped up their pursuit of the 23-year-old, who had been close to joining the European champions in a deal worth around £29 million before the move collapsed on Saturday.PSG and Parma had reportedly reached an agreement, but the French club withdrew after a dispute over transfer commissions. Suzuki is therefore now available again, with Villa emerging as a potential destination.Suzuki has been at Parma since moving to Italy in July 2024 and has established himself as one of the country’s most highly regarded young goalkeepers.
