To add a little bit to this: my ex’s Dutch warm blood (who was not particularly fancy but was certainly a very good horse) was $160,000 when she got it almost 20 years ago and she had to go to Europe to pick it up and fly back with it. He has his own passport. I can’t imagine they’ve gotten cheaper with inflation the way it is these days.
