Namibia has been ranked ninth among Africa’s leading industrial economies in the African Development Bank’s latest Africa Industrialisation Index. The ranking reflects the country’s progress in manufacturing, infrastructure, trade competitiveness, and the policy environment supporting industrial development. The report points to Namibia’s expanding industrial ambitions, including green hydrogen, raw minerals processing, logistics, food and fish processing, renewable energy, and green-iron production. Projects such as the HyIron Oshivela green-iron plant show the country’s drive to move beyond exporting raw materials and produce higher-value goods locally. submitted by /u/namibpulse [link] [comments]
