Looking to level up from copywriting into creative strategy, specifically for DTC/ecom brands. These two keep coming up and I’m trying to figure out which one’s actually worth it. From what I can tell, Volkwyn’s world is very DTC-framework heavy: 130+ copy systems, a Creative Strategist Playbook, media buyer fluency stuff. Ferres’s CMB 3.0 seems more focused on the strategic thinking layer: consumer psychology, research systems, positioning, building a creative strategy process from scratch. Seems like it goes wider than just copy. A few things I’m trying to figure out: 1. Which one actually helped you land or keep clients? 2. How hands-on is the community/support in each? 3. If you’re already working with brands (not a total beginner), which one gave you more ROI? 4. Did either one actually change how you think about creative, or is it mostly templates? For context I’m a copywriter/strategist at an agency already doing all things email marketing so I’m not starting from zero. Just want to break into creative strategy side and eventually take on more freelance work. Would love to hear from anyone who’s been through either (or both). submitted by /u/xntv [link] [comments]
