Bitcoin Has Bounced Off the Bottom. Weekly-Timeframe DivergenceBitcoin / TetherUSBINANCE:BTCUSDTSmolletBitcoin is forming a major bottom, and the current move higher is the beginning of a rally that could continue for months. A strong bullish divergence has formed on the BTC weekly chart using the MACD Histogram. The weekly timeframe is what makes this signal particularly important: this is no longer about a short-term intraday bounce, but about a potential shift in the broader market cycle. The signal appeared after Bitcoin’s prolonged decline from the area of its all-time highs. At the same time, the second bearish MACD impulse was significantly weaker than the first, even though price continued to make new lows. The market has already started confirming the divergence. The MACD Histogram has reversed higher, moved back into positive territory, and Bitcoin has bounced sharply from the lows. That is the key point here. We are not looking at a potential divergence that may still disappear. We are looking at an already formed weekly structure, followed by price beginning to move in the expected direction. Divergences have been used in technical analysis for decades for a reason. They become particularly valuable when they appear after an extended directional move and on higher timeframes. Bitcoin’s own history has repeatedly shown that major momentum divergences on weekly charts can appear around important reversal zones. The structure also fits Alexander Elder’s approach particularly well. Between the two negative MACD Histogram waves, the indicator made a full recovery above the zero line. The next bearish impulse was then substantially weaker than the previous one. Elder regarded this type of divergence as an important sign that the balance of power between sellers and buyers is changing. And the market is already showing the result of that change: sellers failed to continue pushing Bitcoin lower with the same strength, while buyers have started taking control. Primary scenario is a strong continuation of Bitcoin’s upward move. I do not see the current move as just another technical bounce. The scale of the signal is too large for that. This weekly divergence developed over several months, and the move that follows it can potentially be of a similar scale. The coming weeks should provide further confirmation that BTC is transitioning into a new bullish phase. If the current structure remains intact, a return toward the previous highs looks like a logical next stage to me, with the possibility of Bitcoin moving significantly higher afterward. These are exactly the situations I pay the most attention to on a weekly chart: price may still look weak on the surface, while the underlying momentum has already turned well before the broader market fully recognizes it. Conclusion: I expect Bitcoin to enter a strong bullish phase. The weekly divergence is already formed, momentum has reversed, and price has started confirming the signal. In my view, the advantage is now shifting decisively toward the buyers. This is not financial or investment advice. It is my personal view of Bitcoin’s current technical structure.
