EURTHB Eyes ECB SignalsEuro/Thai BahtSAXO:EURTHBYES_Group- Friday Recap EURTHB closed at 38.31, trading within a volatile range as both the euro and Thai baht lacked fresh catalysts to establish a clear direction. As a result, the pair continued to move mainly according to buying and selling flows between the EUR and THB. - Fundamental Analysis | 17 Aug 2026 EURTHB is expected to trade within a range with a slightly bullish bias in the short term after Thailand’s Q2 GDP came in better than market expectations. Thai GDP YoY was reported at 1.9%, above the 1.7% forecast, although slowing from the previous reading of 2.8%. Meanwhile, GDP QoQ came in at -0.20%, better than the -0.60% forecast and reflecting a smaller contraction compared with the previous quarter’s 0.60% growth. These figures could support the Thai baht and put downward pressure on EURTHB in the short term. Meanwhile, there are no major economic data releases from the Eurozone today. The market may instead focus on comments from ECB’s Philip Lane at 16:30, which could provide further clues about the European monetary policy outlook and influence the direction of the euro, potentially increasing volatility in EURTHB during the afternoon. - Technical Analysis Bias: Sideway to Slightly Bullish EURTHB remains in a Sideway to Slightly Bullish structure after continuing to move higher and forming Higher Highs (HH) and Higher Lows (HL), indicating that short-term momentum remains supported by buying pressure. However, the pair is currently facing selling pressure near the upper resistance zone. If price can hold above the 38.30–38.28 support zone, it could rebound toward 38.33. A clear break above this level would open the way for further upside toward 38.36. However, if price breaks below 38.28, short-term momentum could weaken, increasing the chance of a pullback toward the next support zone around 38.25–38.23. Resistance: 38.33 / 38.36 Support: 38.30 / 38.28 Target: 38.23 Cut Loss: Below 38.28
