Auston Trusty didn’t have to wait long to celebrate his first Celtic goal of the new season. Trusty scored the opening goal on Saturday in Celtic’s 4-0 Scottish League Cup Round of 16 win over Dundee United at Tannadice Park. The U.S. Men’s National Team defender helped Martin O’Neill’s men earn a third-straight victory across all competitions by making his third start in a row. Trusty needed just 22 minutes to break the deadlock, rising high to head home into the bottom-left corner. It marked Trusty’s fourth goal for the club in all competitions.A brilliant Auston Trusty header and a first Celtic goal for Camilo Durán puts the away side 2-0 up at Dundee United in the League Cup Watch Dundee United vs. Celtic on @paramountplus pic.twitter.com/NA5X3qWxoo— CBS Sports Golazo (@CBSSportsGolazo) August 15, 2026Camilo Duran extended Celtic’s lead only two minutes later, giving the visitors a 2-0 lead that they would take into halftime.
