Summer Carnival Returns To Buġibba And Marsaskala With 15 Floats

Malta’s Summer Carnival is returning later this month, with 15 carnival floats set to parade through Buġibba and Marsaskala over three nights.The event will run between 21st and 23rd August, with celebrations taking place in Buġibba on Friday and Saturday before moving to Marsaskala on Sunday.Alongside the floats, visitors can expect dance companies, music and performances that bring the energy of Carnival back to Malta’s streets during the summer season.In Buġibba, the Friday parade will start at 7pm from Dawret il-Gżejjer and continue along the promenade towards the Malta National Aquarium. Saturday’s parade will begin from the aquarium and make its way towards Triq il-Ħalel.Marsaskala’s parade on Sunday will follow a revised route starting from the Żonqor parking area, passing through Triq iż-Żonqor, iċ-Ċimenta and Triq ix-Xatt to reach more parts of the locality.The Summer Carnival is organised by Festivals Malta in collaboration with the local councils of St Paul’s Bay and Marsaskala.Will you be heading to the Summer Carnival?Photos: Il-Karnival Ta’ Malta•
