Depends if it's secular anglos or ethnic and how it was funded. I'm married to a Mexican and they do these long extended affairs where "padrinos" (friends and relatives) pay for different parts of the wedding. I grew up with secular weddings and most of my friends had non-religious ceremonies, then a meal, then maybe dancing and the cake.
