Update 2.0 for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl launches on August 20, 2026, alongside the Cost of Hope expansion.Update 2.0 overhauls the Zone's lighting and visuals with improved lighting and reworked landscapes and foliage. A-Life improvements include more believable activity and encounters in the Zone, with more contested points of interest. The new update will also introduce Custom Rules, allowing you to tailor the difficulty to your preferred playstyle. You can also try Master difficulty and the optional Expedition mode.In addition to three new binoculars, four new weapons are available in the arsenal, including the Arev assault rifle, the GP3A designated marksman rifle, the SKP designated marskman rifle, and the Fora-230 submachine gun.
