Tottenham Hotspur still have plenty of work to do in attack, with Roberto De Zerbi’s side continuing to face several major transfer decisions with the window entering its final weeks.With barely a week to go before the Premier League season kicks off, Tottenham remain thin in attack despite having already spent £237m on transfers this summer, with all of that money going towards defensive and midfield reinforcements.Roberto De Zerbi has admitted that he expects at least two or three more signings to arrive this month, with the Italian making it clear that strengthening his attack is now the club’s priority.There has been plenty of movement on the outgoing front this week, with Cristian Romero completing his £34.2m move to Atletico Madrid, while Djed Spence has also joined Inter Milan for the even more disappointing figure of £30m. He was absent from City’s training yesterday, although club sources claimed that was due to illness.Fabrizio Romano admitted that the timing of Savinho’s absence made him ‘curious’, while also revealing that City’s pursuit of Pedro Neto as a replacement has hit a ‘significant gap’ in valuation with Chelsea.Tottenham are reportedly in a ‘hurry’ to get the Brazilian through the door and want him available for their opening game against Brentford. One Spurs insider has even claimed the long-running saga will finally end this week, with an agreement believed to be close to £70m, while other reports have suggested the final figure could go even higher.The situation with Gakpo is rather different, as Spurs are yet to make contact with Liverpool over a potential transfer, despite an agreement on personal terms with the player.That means formal negotiations have not even begun, while Liverpool continue to search for a new left winger of their own.Barcelona make surprise Pedro Porro approach as Porto target SouzaWorld Cup winner Pedro Porro may have signed a new long-term contract with Tottenham while away at the tournament this summer, but that has not stopped interest from elsewhere.Barcelona have reportedly contacted the Spurs right-back after identifying him as a possible replacement for Jules Kounde, with Spain teammate Lamine Yamal said to have encouraged the Catalan giants to pursue the move.The situation has been described as ‘half open’, meaning there is still a possibility of something happening, but Porro is widely regarded as ‘untouchable’ by Tottenham, and therefore a departure looks impossible.Across the flank, there has also been interest in Tottenham left-back Souza from Porto. The 20-year-old has not featured under De Zerbi so far and has now been identified as a ‘priority target’ by the Portuguese side.However, De Zerbi is believed to be the youngster’s ‘biggest supporter’, making a permanent departure highly unlikely. A loan could still be possible given Tottenham’s depth at full-back, with Destiny Udogie and Andy Robertson competing on the left, but there could be another addition to that group too; more on that next.Tottenham like Daniel Munoz transfer as another defender ‘ticks the boxes’Following Spence’s move to Inter Milan, a Tottenham insider revealed that Spurs have returned to the market for another full-back.The need is fairly obvious, given Udogie’s injury record means Tottenham cannot rely on him every week, while Robertson is now 32 and Souza remains relatively inexperienced.On the other side, there is no natural senior backup to Porro, although Archie Gray can fill in there when required, despite the young Englishman previously admitting that he sees his long-term future in midfield instead.Less than a day later, another Spurs insider revealed that Tottenham ‘like’ Crystal Palace defender Daniel Munoz, who has 23 goal contributions over the last season, describing the Colombian as a ‘proper runner and threat on goal’.Tottenham have also looked at Nottingham Forest’s Neco Williams, who is currently stalling over a new contract at the City Ground.
