One UI 9, which debuted with the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series, is not a major update compared to One UI 8.5. However, it still introduces some useful features, including a new way to use Motion Photos on Galaxy phones and tablets.Devices running One UI 9.0 can now use Motion Photos as wallpapers. If you open the Gallery app, any image that includes a Motion Photo can be set as a background for the home screen, the lock screen, or both. You can then tap the Motion Photo option to enable or disable the animation.This feature is currently available on the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. It is not yet visible on our Galaxy S26 Ultra running One UI 9.0 Beta 5, but it could arrive with the stable update in the future.
