The Foreign Contributions (Regulation) Amendment Bill is the latest referred to a joint committee. Nine bills have gone to joint panels in the 18th Lok Sabha since 2024. This marks a sharp increase compared to previous Lok Sabhas. Four bills each were sent during the 16th and 17th Lok Sabhas. These committees examine legislation before it is enacted or withdrawn.
