Yorgen Fenech is set to take the witness stand and testify in his murder trial, following Judge Edwina Grima’s decision to reject the defence’s request to dissolve the jury.The defence had asked for the jury to be discharged over concerns that jurors could access media headlines through tablets provided to them during the trial.Judge Grima rejected the request, meaning the current jury remains in place and proceedings will continue.Now, in a major development in the trial, Fenech himself will be the next person to testify.Fenech is pleading not guilty to complicity in the October 2017 assassination of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia.•
