The 42-year-old man arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of Charlotte Zammit in Żabbar is expected to be arraigned in court tomorrow and charged with her murder.According to reports, Roderick Azzopardi was still being questioned by police on Sunday following the death of the 44-year-old mother, who was found dead inside a residence in Triq Corrado, Żabbar, on Saturday afternoon.Police were called to the property after reports of gunshots. Zammit was later discovered lifeless in a bedroom, while a firearm believed to have been used in the incident was recovered from the residence.Authorities have also confirmed that Azzopardi had previously been found guilty of domestic violence against Zammit in 2017.Meanwhile, Charlotte’s sister paid an emotional tribute to her on social media, describing her as a woman who had faced many hardships and was finally preparing to begin a new chapter in her life.The Victim Support Agency also expressed its condolences to Zammit’s family and friends, calling for privacy, dignity and support during this difficult time.More details are expected to emerge following tomorrow’s court sitting.•
