Joseph Vijay’s stand on inter-State water resources at the Southern Zonal Council Meeting at Mamallapuram on Thursday.In a statement, Committee president P.R. Pandian welcomed the Chief Minister’s observation that ‘approaching Inter-State water issues with mutual trust, scientific evidence, and respect for the law would protect the interests of the riparian States while strengthening the spirit of cooperative federalism, since it was the need of the hour.”He sought the implementation of Supreme Court’s directions in Mullaperiyar and Cauvery issues without fail by the riparian States.
