Scope Markets, theretail FX and CFDs brokerage brand of Rostro Group, has launched Scope Copy, acopy trading service for MetaTrader 5.The move comes asScope Markets continues to expandits use of brokerage technology. Last month, the broker said “technologywas increasingly becoming part of the client relationship” rather than only anoperational tool.Scope Copy follows abeta phase during which clients replicated more than 500,000 trades. More than130 strategy providers are available at launch.Powered by PLUGIT'sYOONIT copy trading module, the service allows clients to select providers andset their own risk parameters. Trades are then replicated automatically inlinked Scope Markets accounts, with execution taking milliseconds.Clients can adjustcopied trade sizes using a multiplier, fixed volume or equity proportion, whilealso setting maximum lot limits.Strategy ProvidersCan Charge up to 50%Strategy providers canset performance fees ranging from 10% to 50%.John Murphy, ManagingDirector of Scope Markets, said the upper limit was higher than that commonlyoffered by copy trading platforms. He said consistently profitable traders"should be compensated as such."Clients do not payfees in advance or on losing trades. Under the high-water mark structure, providers must also recover previous losses before earning performance feesagain."If a providercharges at the top of the band, their performance will have to justifyit," Murphy said.Eligible clients canalso register as strategy providers and make their strategies availablepublicly or privately.Clients Can CopyTrades in ReverseScope Copy also allowsclients to take the opposite side of a provider's trades. A provider's buyorder, for example, can automatically become a sell order in the client'saccount.Murphy said feedbackfrom the beta phase contributed to the feature. Across more than half a milliontrades, "experienced clients repeatedly told us they wanted to tradeagainst strategies they disagreed with.""That behaviouris why inverse copying exists," he added.Maria Pittashi,General Manager of PLUGIT, said the company's copy trading infrastructuresupports more than 100 brokers worldwide. She said Scope Markets had addedinverse copying and its own performance-fee structure to the technology. This article was written by Tareq Sikder at www.financemagnates.com.
