A new Match of the Day line-up has been announced ahead of the 2026/27 season. Joe Hart, Steph Houghton, Danny Murphy, Micah Richards, Ellen White and Ashley Williams will continue to lend their insights, with Wayne Rooney and Alan Shearer returning to the studio.Rooney and co will be back next seasonBBCMatch of the Day’s new signingsMeanwhile, the BBC announced the addition of four new pundits. Toby Alderweireld, Thomas Frank, Robbie Keane and Ashley Young have all joined the line-up for the 2026/27 campaign.Former Tottenham and Brentford boss Frank was part of the broadcaster’s team at this summer’s World Cup.Match of the Day will continue to be presented by Kelly Cates, Mark Chapman and Gabby Logan.The trio took over hosting duties last season after the departure of long-time anchor Gary Lineker, who told talkSPORT in June he didn’t miss doing the show.Football fans were quick to notice a number of regulars, including Martin Keown and Dion Dublin, were not on the list. Shay Given, Nedum Onuoha, Theo Walcott and Stephen Warnock were also omitted.However, talkSPORT understands contract negotiations are ongoing and all are expected to be used across the BBC’s coverage this upcoming season.
