Police Constable Johann Vella has been discharged from hospital nearly a month after he was seriously injured in the Ta’ Giorni shooting.The milestone was marked with an emotional send-off shared by the Malta Police Union, which posted a video showing Vella leaving hospital to a round of applause from fellow officers.In the footage, senior police officials and colleagues from the Special Intervention Unit and Rapid Intervention Unit can be seen lining the hospital entrance, clapping as Vella makes his way out and into a waiting vehicle.“Yesterday marked an important milestone for our colleague PC Johann Vella,” the Malta Police Union said.
