Maltese firefighters are currently helping battle a major wildfire in Arouca, Portugal, as hundreds of emergency personnel work to contain the flames.The Civil Protection Department (CPD) said its firefighters are assisting Portugal’s Força Especial de Proteção Civil, with approximately 600 firefighters mobilised as part of the operation.Crews are working to contain the wildfire while protecting affected communities and surrounding areas.
