HD at a Critical Turning Point | Breakout or Breakdown?Home Depot, Inc.BATS:HDforexcitypro_leemeenal🏠 Home Depot (HD) | Inside a Major Range: Breakout Setup for the Next Long-Term Move? πŸ‘‹ Hello TradingView friends! I hope you're all doing great and that your trading and investing journey is going well. πŸ“ŠπŸ’š Today, let's take a look at The Home Depot (HD) and analyze its current price structure to see where the next potential major move could come from. 🏒 Fundamental Overview | Why HD? The Home Depot – Investor Relations The Home Depot is one of the largest home improvement retailers in the United States, with its stock traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker HD. In fiscal 2025, the company generated approximately $164.7 billion in sales and operated more than 2,300 stores across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. From a long-term investment perspective, U.S. equities remain an important market for global investors. However, when looking at HD specifically, we also need to monitor the housing market, mortgage rates, consumer spending and financing conditions. Home Depot itself has highlighted that elevated mortgage rates and higher home prices have negatively affected housing affordability and home turnover, creating pressure on demand for larger home-improvement projects. At the same time, HD benefits from its large scale, strong brand, extensive store network and established position in the home-improvement market. The company's strategy continues to focus on growing market share, improving customer experience and strengthening its interconnected physical and digital business. So, from a long-term perspective, HD remains an interesting company to watch, but the entry point and price structure are extremely important. πŸŽ―πŸ“ˆ πŸ“Š Technical Analysis | 4H Timeframe On the 4-hour chart, price is currently trading inside a smaller range, which itself is located within a much larger and more important range. πŸ”„ This structure is particularly interesting because as long as price remains inside the range, we don't have enough confirmation to determine the direction of the next major move. The key levels on the current structure are: 🟒 Minor range support: around 322–325 πŸ”΄ Minor range resistance: around 359–362 A confirmed breakout from either side could provide the first meaningful trigger for the next move. πŸš€ Bullish Scenario If price manages to break above the minor range resistance and establish itself above the level, the probability of a move toward the upper part of the larger range increases. πŸ“ˆπŸ”₯ The next major area to watch is around 420–425. A confirmed breakout above this major resistance could become significantly more important from a longer-term perspective, potentially opening the door for a larger bullish continuation. Therefore, the bullish roadmap would be: Minor Range Breakout β†’ Move Toward Major Range High β†’ Major Breakout β†’ Potential Long-Term Continuation Personally, I would prefer to see confirmation and a proper close above the breakout level rather than entering based only on a temporary wick or false breakout. 🎯 🐻 Bearish Scenario On the other hand, if price loses the lower boundary of the current minor range and confirms below it, the bearish scenario becomes more relevant. ⚠️ In that case, the price could potentially move toward the major support area around 289–292. So until a confirmed breakout occurs, both scenarios should remain on the table: 🟒 Resistance breakout = potential Long setup πŸ”΄ Support breakdown = bearish scenario πŸ’Ž Long-Term Perspective The most interesting part of this chart, in my opinion, is the range structure and price compression before a potential larger move. If the major range high is eventually broken with proper confirmation, a portion of the position could potentially be held for a medium- to long-term move, while maintaining disciplined risk management. Nothing is guaranteed in the market, so confirmation remains the key factor. πŸ“ˆπŸ’Ž πŸ—³οΈ What Do You Think? Which scenario do you think HD will choose? πŸ‘‡ 🟒 Bullish πŸš€ β€” Breakout and continuation higher πŸ”΄ Bearish πŸ“‰ β€” Support breakdown and further correction 🟑 Range πŸ”„ β€” More sideways movement between support and resistance Share your view in the comments! πŸ‘‡ ⚠️ Disclaimer This analysis represents my personal market view for educational and informational purposes only and should not be considered financial, investment, or trading advice.
