Spurs Web has already revealed that Tottenham players without World Cup duties, and those eliminated early, are expected to return for pre-season preparations on July 10.That group includes new signings Andy Robertson, Jan Paul van Hecke, Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes. Robertson and van Hecke were involved in the World Cup but exited before the round of 16, while Tonali and Fernandes did not feature at all. With a packed pre-season schedule of six matches, there is every reason to believe that five of Spurs’ new signings will be in contention for the first pre-season fixture. Spurs are set to face MK Dons in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Wednesday, July 22, before travelling to New Zealand the following day to begin their summer tour. That offers the first window of opportunity for Tonali, van Hecke, Robertson and Martin Dubravka to feature in a Tottenham shirt for the first time.Spurs fans set for first glimpse of Tonali and FernandesWhile supporters will not be able to attend the MK Dons friendly, they will not have to wait long to see the new arrivals in action. On July 26, Spurs will play their first pre-season match in front of a crowd when they take on Auckland FC at Eden Park as part of the New Zealand International Football Festival, giving fans the chance to watch their new signings in person. The tour continues with games against Sydney FC at the Allianz Stadium on Wednesday, July 29, before facing London rivals Chelsea at Accor Stadium on Sunday, August 1, offering further opportunities for supporters to see the squad live. The first game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is expected in August when Spurs host Hoffenheim one week before the Premier League campaign begins. That match, on Saturday, August 15, is likely to see maiden appearances for Tonali and Fernandes in front of home fans. The following day, Spurs will play a behind-closed-doors fixture against the German side at their training ground.READ MORE: Tottenham transfer comparison: Rafael Leao, Summerville or Savinho – which winger is the best fit for Spurs? The post When Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes could make Tottenham debuts after £185m splurge appeared first on Spurs Web.
