The extent to which some will try to feign skill, whether it be cheating in games or in other activities, has always baffled me. Why can't people just be ok with sucking at things? In this case I'm talking about Meccha Chameleonβyou know, the casual fun game you're meant to play with friends. It turns out that some Meccha Chameleon lobbies have been invaded by people who have so little self esteem that they'll use a cheating program to scan an image and print it on their character to hide from the seekers. Unfortunately, there were no good Samaritans to point out the foul play this time. Cheating isn't a new phenomenon to me, but it's extra sad to see people cheating at a game which is so fun and is meant to celebrate creativity, skill, and in some senses just giving it your best shot. I've tried disguising myself as many things in Meccha Chameleon, and none of them have looked particularly good, but I haven't given up in my efforts. As a wise dog once said, sucking at stuff is the first step to being sort of good at something, and I think that's beautiful.
