PN candidate Luke Said has expressed his frustration after one of the largest wartime shelters in Nadur was vandalised.In a social media post, Said shared the historic shelter had been damaged with graffiti, rubbish and fire. He also said that after the site was closed off to protect the public, someone cut the padlock securing the entrance. A police report has since been filed and the shelter has been closed once again.Despite the setbacks, Said said he remains committed to protecting the site and is currently working to obtain permission from the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage to clean and preserve it.“No, I won’t give up,” he wrote, saying he hopes the unique site can be restored for future generations to enjoy.•
