And this is the way I play football.“I play football to win, to beat the other team, to beat the other players. So, we are on the same level. Now it’s my job to do my best to help the team, to help the manager and to help the club.”Fernandes is ready to play a number of positions for SpursThe 21-year-old has already played some different roles in his time in the Premier League, having been deployed as part of a front three at Southampton before dropping deeper at the London Stadium. While Fernandes confessed that he prefers to play as a number eight, he insisted that he is ready to do whatever De Zerbi and the team need. When asked what his best position is, the former West Ham man said: “For me, I feel more healthy when I play, like, number eight, box to box. I just want to help the team, to help my teammates, improve my game as well. I know that I need to score more goals, give more assists, fight even more because I want to win titles.”READ MORE: Tottenham confirm behind-closed-doors friendly against La Liga side after 18-year waitThe post ‘Blood and energy’ – Mateus Fernandes reveals what De Zerbi told him about joining Tottenham appeared first on Spurs Web.
