Bangalore University PhD entrance exam held - The HinduPublished - July 05, 2026 07:05 pm IST - BengaluruThe entrance examination for candidates belonging to the faculties of arts, science, commerce, management, physical education, and law was conducted smoothly at Surana College and Seshadripuram Academy of Business Studies examination centres in Bengaluru. | Photo Credit: Getty ImagesBangalore University conducted the PhD entrance examination for the academic year 2026 on Sunday, and 870 candidates appeared for the examination.The entrance examination for candidates belonging to the faculties of arts, science, commerce, management, physical education, and law was conducted smoothly at Surana College and Seshadripuram Academy of Business Studies examination centres in the city.To ensure transparency and maintain the highest standards of security, the question papers were transported under the supervision of security personnel. Multi-level security checks were carried out at all examination centres with the support of security staff and the police.The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Jayakara S.M., visited the centres and reviewed the conduct of the examination.The list of candidates qualified for the PhD viva voce will be announced on July 11. The viva-voce examinations will be conducted in the respective postgraduate departments on July 14 and 15.
