I’ve got a good friend who is also allergic to dogs, the issue being that he loves them so so much. On the rare occasion he meets me at my house he loves on my dogs so hard with a 5 min timer set then scrubs his hands in my bathroom and baby wipes when he gets to the car just in case. He generally has a mild reaction but it also makes him super happy. But I would also never ever be weird about someone not wanting to pet my babies.
