We're arguing from the position of the winners, and they write the history books everyone reads. Britain would likely argue that it wasn't until the end of the War of 1812 that they really considered America a "lost cause"; after all, they did successfully burn most of Washington DC during that war!So let me put a bit more-positive spin on things, because I do believe that we can still succeed -- and that we are not necessarily destined to spiral into either penury or worse, civil war.But to do so we will have to recapture a few of the founding principles of America and make them "real" once again -- without exception, fear or favor.America did begin with a unique ideal; individual rights that are inviolate within.......(Click link to read more)
