Cancer risk of sitting too long: A study of over 91,000 UK Biobank participants has found that each additional hour of prolonged, uninterrupted sedentary behaviour is associated with a 9% higher risk of dying from cancer. Replacing just one such hour daily with light physical activity was linked to a 12% reduction in cancer death risk.
