An earthquake of magnitude 5.3 occurred only 9 minutes ago 95 km southeast of Malapatan, Philippines, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported.The quake hit at a moderately shallow depth of 35. km beneath the epicenter near Malapatan, Province of Sarangani, Soccsksargen, Philippines, in the afternoon on Monday, July 6th, 2026, at 4:41 pm local time.
