Nurses stage hunger protest over temporary appointment in govt. hospitals - The HinduPublished - October 01, 2026 12:41 am IST - CHENNAINurses affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Nurses Empowerment Association observed a fast on Wednesday demanding the State government to withdraw its decision to appoint nurses in government hospitals on an 11-month temporary basis and nursing tutors on a contractual basis.About 250 nurses participated in the hunger protest organised in Chennai.
