I’ve been working at Chipotle for about 4 weeks while in college and I’m still training on prep, but I’m already thinking about quitting because I don’t think the job is for me. I only work like 15 hours a week (Monday and Saturday) , but every shift feels super intense. It gets really busy and I’m constantly doing prep, dishes, cutting, cleaning, and a bunch of other stuff at once. One of the kitchen leads is also constantly telling me to rush, hurry up, and that I’m too slow. I understand the difference between someone trying to push/motivate me and someone just being rude, and sometimes it genuinely feels more like the second one. Also, sometimes coworkers will ask me something in English, I’ll answer, and then they’ll start talking to each other in their language while saying my name and laughing. I don’t know what they’re saying so I don’t want to assume anything, but it definitely makes me feel left out and not really part of the team. Nothing terrible has happened, I just already dread going in. Would quitting after only 4 weeks be unreasonable, or should I give it more time? submitted by /u/OwnResolution3949 [link] [comments]
