Hi r/SideProject, When our daughter was born, my wife and I started tracking feeds and diapers on two phones and a whiteboard. It worked about as well as you’d expect. At 3 AM, one of us would inevitably ask: when did she last eat? And neither of us really knew. So I started building Pola. Eight months later, it’s live on the App Store and Google Play. Pola is a simple baby journal built around the things we actually needed in those first months: feedings, sleep, diapers, measurements, medicine, solids and reminders. Everything ends up on one timeline. There are daily summaries and charts, a home screen widget, sleep timer, feeding reminders, and it works offline. Data is encrypted and stored in the EU. I wanted the free version to be something you could actually use, not a demo with half the app locked away. So the full journal is free for one child and one caregiver: feeding, sleep, diapers, health, medicine, measurements, solids, reminders, charts and full history. No ads. No history limit. Pola Plus only adds three things: a shared journal with another caregiver more than one child a PDF report you can take to the pediatrician There’s also a 14-day Plus trial with no card and no automatic charge. I built the iOS app, Android app, backend, website, subscriptions, sync, notifications and release pipeline myself. I’m especially curious about two things: 1. Does the landing page explain the app clearly enough? 2. Does the Free vs. Plus split feel fair? I’d genuinely appreciate critical feedback.
