One of the hottest summers on record in Central Florida has led Walt Disney World Resort to make an unannounced addition to the EPCOT World Showcase, between the Italy and American Adventure Pavilions. According to ClickOrlando, July saw record temperatures in Orlando, with an average of 84.4 degrees Fahrenheit. That makes 2026 the second-hottest summer on record in Orlando, trailing behind only 1903.Cities across Central Florida experienced persistent heat, with even higher heat indexes (or “real feel” temperatures), and had more limited rainfall than in previous years.
