I opened the beta for my product on a Tuesday with zero audience. Two days later I was scrolling the sign-up list expecting friends and test accounts, and there was a senior product manager from DigitalOcean. They didn't email me or say anything. They just signed up, created a site and tried it locally. It changed how I thought about it. I'm building AskVerb, an AI agent that lives inside your product so your users can just ask for things and they get done. I'd assumed only tiny indie founders would care. Someone who ships product at a company that size poking at it for an afternoon told me the problem is real at every size, not just mine. What I'm doing differently now: - Every sign-up gets a personal message from me within a day, not an automated welcome - I ask what made them try it, not whether they like it - I stopped assuming who my customer is from my own guess What was the first sign-up that made you go "oh, this is real"? submitted by /u/Southern_Kitchen3426 [link] [comments]
