Fasig-Tipton will offer a $500,000 bonus tied to the auction house's 2026 Eastern Fall Yearlings Sale to be held at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, Maryland, Tuesday, Oct. 31.The bonus will be awarded to any graduate of this year's Eastern Fall Yearling Sale that goes on to win the 2028 GI Preakness Stakes. All horses that go through the ring will be eligible for the bonus, whether reported as sold or reserve not attained (RNA).The bonus money would be divided equally, with $250,000 to the horse's owner at the time of the Preakness and $250,000 to the owner of the horses at the time it was offered at the Midlantic Yearling Sale.“We are excited to offer this extra incentive to participants in this year's Eastern Fall Yearlings Sale,” said Fasig-Tipton President Boyd Browning. “The Preakness is an important fixture of American racing and an integral part of the fabric and identity of racing in the Midlantic region.
