Obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric condition characterized by recurrent obsessions, or unwanted thoughts, typically accompanied by repeated actions that seem difficult to control, also known as compulsions. While there are various treatments for OCD, not all patients respond well to them.
