Every launch checklist says "submit to the directories." Then you actually try it: 30 sign-up flows, the same tagline pasted 30 times, badge embeds, upsell pop-ups and "free queue" fine print you have to read closely. It's a weekend of copy-paste. So I built launch-agent. It's free and MIT-licensed, and it runs on your own machine with your own coding agent (Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode). How it works: Say "set up my site myproduct.com for promotion." It reads your repo or site and drafts taglines, descriptions, categories and tags. You edit them until they read right and approve them once. You sign a dedicated Chrome profile into your launch Google account. It proposes a batch of the best-fit directories. You cut the ones you don't want. It works through them one at a time in your Chrome. It fills each form from your approved copy, uploads your logo and screenshots, always takes the free route and turns down the upsells. At the end you get a short list of the few things that need a human. What it won't do (enforced in code, not just the prompt): Pay for anything Enter passwords or solve CAPTCHAs Type anything that isn't in your approved copy Leave the directory's own site Submit founder-led launches like Product Hunt or Show HN. Those should come from you. Honest caveats: it's early. It's macOS + Chrome only, and so far it's been used in production for one product. If you know a directory that's missing, or one that's changed its form, each one is a small YAML file. I'd also love to hear which directories actually sent you traffic, so I can prioritize the list.
