United Torah Judaism chairman MK Yaakov Asher responded to reports that the Gur Hasidic movement is considering abstaining from a vote if Gadi Eisenkot succeeds in forming the next government.“United Torah Judaism has no desire to bring anyone down or crown anyone, and we do not act out of revenge or any other interests. The only thing guiding us is the directive of the leading rabbis, according to which United Torah Judaism, in all its components, will neither support nor join any government without securing the status of Torah scholars," Asher said.
