i keep running into the same argument with local PPC pages the client wants a proper sales page. company background, process, testimonials, reasons to choose them, a few paragraphs explaining the service, etc. then i look at the search term and it's something like "driveway repair charlotte". that person probably isn't there to read the company's story. they want to know if you do the job, roughly what it costs, and how quickly someone can get out there i've been cutting some of these pages down and moving the useful stuff into short sections and bullets. the shorter versions seem to be holding attention better so far. one test was 34 lines versus a much longer page, and the shorter one is ahead, although there's not enough data yet to make a big claim. for people writing copy for local services, where do you usually draw the line? do you let the search intent do most of the work, or do you still prefer a longer page once they've clicked? also wondering if this changes much on mobile. most of the traffic i'm looking at is coming from phones submitted by /u/Positive-Raise-2072 [link] [comments]
