I was 34 when I married and after years to making do with a hand mixer I definitely put a KitchenMaid on our registry. We had some pots and pans of varying quality, but replaced some with AllClad and Calphalon. Is that wrong to upgrade on some items? Or is that not acceptable if you’re an older couple?
