/u/MentalMelons_ on I’m single and expecting my 9th baby but I didn’t save a single baby item from any of them so please buy me new things in this economy

Wait 5 sec.

Just to share perspective as someone this happened to: I was diagnosed with PCOS at 21 and my OB at the time told me my ovaries looked like “Swiss cheese” and that the likelihood of my getting pregnant on my own was nearly impossible. She had also told me that I should determine what age I want to become pregnant and “start trying” approximately 2-3 years in advance of that because I would need documentation of fertility issues to eventually qualify for treatment. Well my husband and I decided for me to stop the pill and start this “fertility journey” we were expecting to go on, and wouldn’t you believe it, I got pregnant the FIRST MONTH. My husband and I were genuinely shocked because it was such a shift from what we had been told. Never went back to that OB because honestly I think they are irresponsibly leading young women to believe they are infertile. It felt like I had been lied to for years.
