Maharashtra has tightened redevelopment rules for cooperative housing societies, introducing stricter requirements for developer selection, tendering, member approvals, documentation and project timelines. The revised framework requires at least three developer bids, 51% member approval, video recording of selection meetings and redevelopment agreements within three months. Projects should be completed within two years of the plinth certificate.
