I don't believe these particular people, but it's pretty fucking gross and ableist to be like "um you can't possible be disabled if you go shopping and go on dates". I mean Stephen Hawking had a wife, would you say he wasn't disabled? Also when we're talking about getting disability benefits from the government, they're so reluctant to give anyone that money that people who literally have paralysis aren't even guaranteed to get it without a good lawyer, and then it's such little money anyway I honestly don't give a shit. It's $934 a month, if someone isn't really disabled but wants to live off of that then I don't care. Also so the thing with disabilities is like, okay, I have anxiety. I can go shopping when I'm in a good mood and don't feel like I'm going to react strongly that day, and if the store is too overwhelming then I can just go home. But I don't have the option to just not go to work if I'm having a sensitive day and can't just leave to go home if I'm having a panic attack unless this is some kind of magic workplace that will pay me despite me never going.j So Idk what these people are claiming as a disability, and it says they actually have jobs lined up anyway, so who cares?
