The COMP 6.5 SS is the stainless steel version. It weighs in at 14.6 ounces with the two-port brake, or 12.2 oz without. It comes in black and FDE. The other is the COMP 6.5 Ti, which uses titanium construction. It weights 10.4 oz with the brake or 8.7 oz without the brake. Like the stainless model, it is also available in black and FDE cerakote finishes. The COMP 6.5 has a 6.5mm bore, hence the name. It is rated up to 6.5 PRC. Like all other Banish silencers, it is backed by a lifetime warranty. The brake is one of the most noticeable features of the silencer, with two large ports for recoil control. These have become increasingly commonplace accessories on bolt gun silencers, and the COMP includes one out of the box. Banish includes a 5/8x24 direct thread mount, which is HUB compatible. That means it works with a wide range of other mounting systems as well. All images from Banish. From the manufacturer:“BANISH Suppressors, an industry leader for pursuit-driven firearm suppressors, introduces the BANISH Competition Series, or COMP, beginning with the BANISH COMP 6.5 SS and BANISH COMP 6.5 TI, its first suppressors built around a dedicated .264-caliber bore. Both models ship with a two-port brake and a flat 6.5mm muzzle cap, letting precision shooters configure the suppressor for recoil control and a faster return to target with the brake, or maximum sound reduction with the muzzle cap.”
