We made a tool that turns any date and place into a printable 3D star map

Wait 5 sec.

We've been making star map posters for a while, the kind that show the sky exactly as it was on a night that mattered to you. Then we thought: we print in 3D, why is this still flat? So we built StarForge. You pick a date, a time and a city, and it calculates the real sky for that moment and exports a raised two-colour map. It comes as a poster, a medallion or a heart, with 9 colour pairs, and the files are set up for Bambu printers. It's running as a campaign on MakerWorld Crowdfunding right now. Link in the comments if anyone's curious. Happy to answer questions about how the star positions are calculated, print settings, anything. submitted by /u/Tall-Independence951 to r/BambuLab [link] [comments]
